Come we in weariness
If we let ourselves, we shall always be waiting for some distraction or other to end before we can really get down to our work. The only people who achieve much are those who want knowledge so badly that they seek it while the conditions are still unfavorable. Favorable conditions never come.
While computers might set type in flawlessly accurate columns, things that are handmade are beautiful by virtue of their irregularity. I see these imperfections as marks of dignity and integrity, and believe that they bear witness to the artist — and the human — in all of us.
So generic, totally a cop out but:
I am thankful for my family and for my friends.
They count as two days. Cause I said so.
